A Snapchat catalog powers Dynamic Product Ads and Collection Ads. The Snapchat Ads profile writes Google-style RSS 2.0 with Snapchat’s capitalised availability values and the identifier rule Snap uses: brand, GTIN or MPN, at least one of them.
Before you start
- A Snapchat Ads Manager account with a catalog or permission to create one. Data feeds are recommended for more than 50 products; manual upload is CSV only.
- Each product with a brand, a barcode or a SKU; Snapchat needs one of
brand,gtinormpn.
1. Create the feed in Buinbu
- Open Export, choose Create feed and pick Snapchat Ads on Feed templates.
- Under Feed name and market pick the Market (country) matching the catalog’s default currency and keep Currency on that market’s currency. A mismatch makes the run fail with Currency mismatch.
- Keep Leave gift cards out on, tick filters if you need them, set the Refresh frequency and choose Create feed.
2. Copy the feed URL
On the feed page, under Feed URL, choose Copy URL. HTTPS without credentials works; SFTP is not needed.
3. Add the feed in Ads Manager
- In Ads Manager open Catalogs, open or create the catalog and add a product source of type data feed.
- Paste the URL and keep the file format set to XML.
- Choose the refresh (hourly or daily) and the update type: Replace mirrors the file, Upsert only adds and updates.
4. Wait for the first fetch and review
Open Catalog Diagnostics after the first fetch. Snapchat lists items with missing or invalid fields per attribute. In Buinbu the feed page reads “Last fetched: … · Snapchat” once Snapchat has downloaded the file.
